Hedgehog in Adopt Me: Christmas Ultra-Rare, Elf History and Neon Tips
TL;DR, bestie
- Hedgehog is a limited Ultra-Rare from Christmas Event 2019 (released 14 Dec 2019).
- Formerly called Elf Hedgehog.
- Event over — trading only (or leftover event stock if any).
- Neon/Mega exist; demand stays seasonal-cute year round.
The Hedgehog used to wear the Elf Hedgehog name like a Christmas sweater it never took off. Now it is just Hedgehog — same prickly icon energy, cleaner label.

How to get Hedgehog
Trading only
The Christmas 2019 shop window is gone. You get a Hedgehog through the official trade window. Confirm it is Hedgehog (not a random Christmas common with similar vibes) and check potions before you accept.
If anyone claims they can "gift it outside the trade window," that is a scam script from 2019 that somehow still works on tired players.
Look, stats and what they mean in play
Prickly Ultra-Rare silhouette with Christmas DNA even after the rename. Neon Hedgehog pops hard in snow builds; Mega cycles the glow so lobby screenshots look intentional. Age through the standard Ultra-Rare care loop before you craft Neons.
Beginner strategies
- Learn the rename — older videos still say Elf Hedgehog.
- Do not overpay because a short says it is "returning tomorrow."
- One Hedgehog is a fine Christmas shelf pet.
Advanced strategies
- Neon Hedgehog pairs with other 2019 Christmas Ultra-Rares for themed offers.
- Hold extras only if you enjoy Mega crafting; otherwise trade duplicates.
- Screenshot inventory after big accepts for your own records.
Common mistakes
- Trust trading during Christmas rush servers.
- Mixing it up with cheaper Christmas pets in chat.
- Ignoring the rename and thinking you got scammed when the label says Hedgehog.
Demand, trading and scam warnings
Seasonal demand spikes every December, then settles into collector interest. Qualitative only — no fake list numbers. Value tools are coming. Watch whether Neon offers arrive faster than base.
History and update changes
Released 14 December 2019 in the Christmas Event as Elf Hedgehog, later renamed Hedgehog. Event currency purchase path is dead; trading carries the pet forward.
Comparisons
- Dalmatian — Fellow 2019 Christmas Ultra-Rare (Santa Dog rename energy).
- Snow Owl — Later winter Legendary flex.
- Cow — Farm Rare — totally different lane.
