Adopt Me Lightning Dimension: Start Time, What’s Confirmed and What I’d Do Before It Drops

The Lightning Dimension is Adopt Me’s next update. The official countdown has it landing Fri 6 Nov: 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm GMT / 3am AEDT (Sat 7 Nov) / 5am NZDT (Sat 7 Nov). The Halloween Wagon leaves 15 minutes earlier, at Fri 6 Nov: 7:45am PT / 10:45am ET / 3:45pm GMT / 2:45am AEDT (Sat 7 Nov) / 4:45am NZDT (Sat 7 Nov), so spend your Candy Corn before then. Uplift hasn’t named a single new pet yet. Any video with “official” pet names and odds is guessing.

Scam check
No one can give you a Lightning Dimension pet early. “Pre-order” trades, “leaked pet for your Frost Dragon” offers and “free new pet” links are scams. New pets only come from the game itself after the update goes live, and there are no working Adopt Me codes that hand them out.
Quick context before the hype train leaves the station: I checked the official countdown, the Roblox event listings and the Adopt Me YouTube channel this morning. Here’s what’s real, what’s guesswork and what I’d do with the 48-ish hours before it drops.

The Roblox event listing for the update starts five minutes after the countdown, so if your server hasn’t changed at the top of the hour, leave and join a fresh one. Don’t spam-rejoin in the first minute, though. It’s giving dial-up modem at 2am.
One small thing that trips people up: US and UK clocks went back recently, so the update now lands an hour later in Australia and New Zealand than it did in October. Same 8am in Pacific time, different breakfast for everyone south of the equator.
What Uplift has actually confirmed
This list is short, and that’s the point:
- The name. The official countdown is titled “Lightning Dimension Countdown!”
- The time. Friday 6 November, 8am PT (times above).
- A teaser. The official Adopt Me Weekly News video, “Explore The LIGHTNING DIMENSION”, went up on 2 November. The thumbnail shows a blacked-out mystery pet crackling with lightning and a dark staff with a glowing blue gem.
- That’s it. No pet names, no rarities, no prices, no odds, no event currency. Uplift normally posts full update notes on playadopt.me when the update goes live.
My take: I love a mystery silhouette as much as anyone, but I’m not going to pretend I know what it is. If a thumbnail says “NEW 0.01% PET” before the update is even out, ask where the number came from. The answer is usually “vibes”.
How the last two dimensions worked (a pattern, not a promise)
Adopt Me has done dimension events twice before, and Uplift’s own notes for them show a clear format:

Both earlier dimensions had a portal, a gathering or minigame loop, an event currency and Baits for the Lure. That’s a strong pattern, but it’s still a pattern. I’ll believe “Lightning Baits” when I see them in the patch notes.
Hot take: if it follows the Ice Dimension format, the free grind will matter more than Robux on day one. Bait systems reward people who show up daily, not people who panic-buy in the first hour.
What I’d do before Friday
- Empty your Candy Corn at the Wagon. After Friday’s close it’s leftover candy with no shop. My Halloween Wagon guide lists what’s inside and what isn’t (the Pro Ghost Blaster and Mummy Spider aren’t sold there).
- Pick one Halloween pet, not five. If you’re short, my Halloween pets ranking is the shortcut. Buy the pet you’ll actually use.
- Check your Lure is set up. If the Lightning Dimension uses Baits like the last two, a working Lure in your house saves you a scramble. If it doesn’t, you’ve lost nothing.
- Save some Bucks. Past dimensions sold small extras for Bucks. Keeping a few thousand back costs you nothing.
- Don’t trade for new pets on day one. Values haven’t settled, and day-one prices are mostly hype. My trading guide explains why demand beats “value” in the first week.
Is the Lightning Dimension worth getting hyped for? My honest take
Yes, with a seatbelt. Here’s my reasoning:
- Good sign: Uplift gave it a full countdown campaign and a Weekly News episode. They don’t do that for small patches.
- Good sign: dimension events have been free-to-play friendly before. The Ice Dimension’s main loop was a minigame, not a Robux wall.
- Reason to chill: we know nothing about odds. A Legendary at a fraction of a percent (like the Ice Dimension’s free soup Bait) is a lottery ticket, not a plan.
- Reason to chill: the first weekend is when trade scams spike. New pet, no settled value, lots of excited kids. Classic combo.
On the “would I trade my Tamagotchi for it” scale, the Lightning Dimension is currently a solid “ask me again Friday”.
For parents: the 30-second version
There’s a new limited-time event starting Friday (US time). It’s free to play, and there may be optional Robux items. If your kid asks for Robux “before the pets run out”, that’s usually hype from YouTube, not a real deadline. These events normally run for a week or more. Kiko’s take: The Lightning Dimension is the most interesting thing Adopt Me has teased in months, but right now it’s a name, a time and a shadowy pet. Spend your Candy Corn before the Wagon leaves, keep some Bucks back, set up your Lure just in case, and ignore anyone selling “leaked” pets or odds. I’ll check the real notes when they’re out.
