99 Nights in the Forest Class Tier List (November 2026)
TL;DR, bestie
My November 2026 class tier list for 99 Nights in the Forest is based on where the major community lists agree:
- S tier: Cyborg, Vampire, Necromancer and Big Game Hunter (all 600 Diamonds).
- A tier: the Halloween Witch, plus Fire Bandit, Assassin, Beastmaster, Gunslinger and Alien.
- Best first buys: Scavenger (25), Lumberjack (70), Medic (40) and Alien (100).
The new Ghost Ranger (1,000 Candy, out since 31 October) and the September classes (Escape Artist, Elemental and Woodsman) are too new to rank fairly, so they’re listed separately.

Tier lists for 99 Nights disagree a lot, so I put the big ones side by side and kept the bits they agree on. Then I added prices from the community class table and notes on what each class is actually for. Squad synergy matters more than letters, but if you’re spending Diamonds, start here.

99 Nights in the Forest class tier list (November 2026)
| Tier | Classes (price) | Why |
|---|---|---|
| S | Cyborg (600 💎), Vampire (600 💎), Necromancer (600 💎), Big Game Hunter (600 💎) | Ranked at or near the top on every list I checked |
| A | Witch (Candy, Halloween only), Fire Bandit (200 💎), Assassin (500 💎), Beastmaster (400 💎), Gunslinger (600 💎), Alien (100 💎) | Strong in the right hands or roles, but some lists rate them lower |
| B | Lumberjack (70 💎), Explorer (80 💎), Chef (150 💎), Brawler (100 💎), Gambler (55 💎), Blacksmith (200 💎), Alien Scientist (600 💎), Pyromaniac (600 💎) | Great utility or value, or strong but grind-heavy |
| C | Medic (40 💎), Scavenger (25 💎), Ranger (70 💎), Farmer (80 💎), Poison Master (200 💎), Berserker (100 💎), Base Defender (40 💎), Fisherman (50 💎) | Useful jobs, weaker overall |
| D | Camper (10 💎), Decorator (40 💎), Support (45 💎), Hunter (40 💎), Zookeeper (70 💎) | Cheap stepping stones or very niche |
Not ranked (yet): Ghost Ranger (1,000 Candy, new), Engineer (1,000 💎, opinions split), Escape Artist (10 💎), Elemental (400 💎), Woodsman (600 💎), and the seasonal Fancy Dressed (30 Candy, a Candy farmer, not a fighter).
S tier: why these four
| Class | What makes it great |
|---|---|
| Cyborg | Widely called the most consistent class from start to finish. Its alien tech never runs out of ammo |
| Vampire | Melee lifesteal plus night speed and vision. Players call it the easiest way to clear early caves and Strongholds |
| Necromancer | A slow start, but resurrected cultists (even a Cultist King) can carry late game |
| Big Game Hunter | Turns animal pelts into permanent bonuses, which makes it brilliant for long runs |
A tier highlights
- Witch: infinite area-effect potions, plus team healing from level 2. Some players put her in S for Hard Mode, while PC Gamer has her in B. I’ve split the difference. She’s back in the Halloween shop until 7 November.
- Fire Bandit (200): starts with an Infernal Crossbow and Wildfire. It’s the best-value combat class on this list.
- Gunslinger (600): reportedly the best at high-level Strongholds, but you have to grind its revolver first.
- Alien (100): a Raygun and night vision for the price of a starter. A great second class.

Best first classes (by value)
| Class | Price | Why buy it first |
|---|---|---|
| Scavenger | 25 💎 | +2 sack space fixes the biggest early-game bottleneck |
| Medic | 40 💎 | 5× faster revives. One per team is plenty |
| Lumberjack | 70 💎 | Bonus logs keep the fire alive |
| Alien | 100 💎 | Your first real weapon class |
The tier letter and “should I buy it first?” are different questions. Scavenger is C tier for power and still the smartest 25 Diamonds you’ll spend. My Medic class guide explains why one support player changes a team run.
The Halloween classes
| Class | Price | Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| Witch | 900 Candy in 2025 (2026 price unconfirmed) | A tier. Permanent once bought |
| Ghost Ranger | 1,000 Candy | Too new. Starts with a piercing Ghost Crossbow |
| Fancy Dressed | 30 Candy | A Candy farmer, not a fighter |
| Trick or Treater | 30 Candy (2025) | Not confirmed in the 2026 shop. See my Trick or Treater guide |
Both Candy classes leave Happy’s shop when the Hedge Maze Refresh ends: Sat 7 Nov: 2:30am PT / 5:30am ET / 10:30am GMT / 9:30pm AEDT / 11:30pm NZDT.
Kiko’s take: If I had 600 Diamonds and one choice? Vampire for solo, Cyborg if I’m carrying friends. But nobody should skip Scavenger just because it’s “C tier”. It’s the Y2K-proof starter. Boring, cheap and always works. And don’t buy a class just because a thumbnail screams “BROKEN”. Wait a week and see if it still is.
Scam check
No site can give you free Diamonds, classes or Candy. “Class unlock” Discords and Diamond generators are account-stealing scams. Diamonds come from badges, quests, codes and Robux in the game itself, and nowhere else.
FAQ
What is the best class in 99 Nights in the Forest?
Cyborg is the most common pick for best overall. Vampire, Necromancer and Big Game Hunter are close behind.
What’s the best cheap class?
Scavenger (25 Diamonds) for value. Alien (100) if you want a weapon early.
Is the Ghost Ranger good?
It’s too early to say. It came out on 31 October and early videos are excited, but its perks aren’t fully documented yet.
Should I buy the Witch?
If you play with friends or Hard Mode and can afford her before 7 November, yes. She stays in your inventory after Halloween.
