99 Nights in the Forest Wiki: Every Class, Creature and System Explained

TL;DR, bestie

The kikomii 99 Nights Wiki is my survival manual for 99 Nights in the Forest: every class, creature, biome, tool and system, one page each.

  • The goal: keep the campfire alive, rescue the four missing children and survive 99 nights without getting eaten.
  • Classes are bought with Diamonds in the lobby and change how you play every run.
  • Danger comes from the Deer, its Cultists and a rotating cast of beasts like wolves, bears and the Owl.
  • For codes, events and what’s live this week, use the 99 Nights guide hub.

99 Nights in the Forest showed up on Roblox in March 2025 and somehow passed 30 billion visits since. It’s a co-op survival game with a horror coat of paint: you build a camp with friends, push into a dark forest for wood, scrap and food, and try to find four lost kids while something with antlers watches you from the trees. There’s a lot to learn, from crafting recipes to which class makes the early nights easier, so this wiki breaks it into one page per thing.

How a run works

The campfire

Your campfire is the center of everything. It keeps the dark (and most of what lives in it) away, and leveling it up pushes back the fog so more of the map opens up. Feed it logs, coal and fuel canisters. If it goes out, you’re in trouble.

Crafting

Wood and scrap go into the crafting bench, which unlocks tools, defenses and camp upgrades as it levels up. The Crafting page covers the recipes in order, so you know what to build first.

Hunger

Everyone has a hunger bar, and running on empty hurts. Cook meat at the fire, grow food at camp, and see my food guide for the stew trick. The Hunger page explains exactly how the bar works.

The missing children

Four kids are lost somewhere in the forest, each guarded by wolves or worse. Finding them is the main quest, and each rescue makes the run feel a little more possible. The Missing children page explains where they tend to be and what guards them.

What the first week looks like

The early nights follow a rough rhythm, and knowing it takes a lot of the panic out:

DayWhat tends to happen
1Calm. The Deer leaves you alone, so gather wood and scrap and craft the map
2The Pelt Trader visits for the first time, and the Deer may start moving
4The first Cultist raid hits at night, and raids keep coming every few days
5 onwardBiome beasts can wake up, so stay close to the fire after dark

The long version, with what to build each day, is in my beginner guide. The Days page will track how the nights scale as you go deeper.

Know your enemies

ThreatWhat to know
The DeerThe big bad. Calm on the first day, then it hunts at night. A flashlight is your friend
CultistsThe Deer’s followers. They raid camp at night, so be home with a weapon before dark
Wolves and Alpha WolvesPack hunters around the forest and the kids’ camps
BearsTough, hit hard, and drop good meat if you win
The Owl and the RamBiome bosses that wake up as the nights go on

Every creature page covers behavior, drops and how I’d survive it with a basic loadout.

Classes

Classes give you a starting kit and perks for the whole run. Some are about fighting, some about gathering, some about keeping the team alive. Early favorites include the Lumberjack, Hunter and Fisherman, while later unlocks get very specialized. My class tier list ranks them, and each class has its own wiki page with perks and how to play it.

Biomes

The map isn’t just one forest. As your campfire grows and the fog pulls back, you can reach different biomes, such as snow, volcanic and jungle areas, each with its own resources and dangers. Biome pages explain what spawns there and what to bring.
