Daily Quests in 99 Nights in the Forest: The Quest Machine and Every Tier
TL;DR, bestie
- Daily Quests come from the Daily Quest machine in the 99 Nights in the Forest lobby, a big white slot machine behind the spawn points. Pull the red lever to get your quests.
- Quests come in three tiers: Tier 1 (easy), Tier 2 (average) and Tier 3 (hard). You can complete 3 per day, and they refresh every 24 hours.
- Tier 1 pays 5 Diamonds. Tiers 2 and 3 pay 5 Diamonds plus a random Flame you only see after finishing.
- Badges unlock at 10, 50 and 100 completed quests.

Daily Quests are the easiest steady Diamond income in 99 Nights, and the only regular way to collect new Flames outside events. Five minutes in the lobby and a little planning before your run is all it takes. Here’s how the machine works, what the quests ask for and which ones I knock out first.
Daily Quests at a glance
| Fact | Detail |
|---|---|
| Where | The Daily Quest machine, in the lobby behind the spawn points |
| How | Pull the red lever; hold E (or press on mobile) to view quests |
| Quests per day | 3 |
| Refresh | Every 24 hours |
| Tier 1 reward | 5 Diamonds |
| Tier 2 and 3 reward | 5 Diamonds + a random equippable Flame |
| Badges | 10, 50 and 100 quests completed |
How it works
The machine is the white slot machine in the lobby. Pull the red lever to get your quests, then hold E (or press on the screen on mobile) to read them. Since the 20 September 2026 update removed class restocks, this is the only thing in the game that refreshes every 24 hours.

Quests are split by difficulty. The Diamonds are the steady part, and the Flames from Tiers 2 and 3 are the surprise. You can’t see which Flame you’ll get until the quest is done, which is either thrilling or annoying depending on your mood.
Example Tier 1 quests
- Collect 50 flowers in a single round
- Build 5 Farm Plots in a single round
- Survive a night with the Campfire out
- Hang up a painting in your base
- Buy a Box of Seeds from the Fairy
- Eat a stew to warm up in the Snow Biome
- Befriend a kid using their trinket
Example Tier 2 quests
- Revive others 5 times in a single round
- Eat 10 Chilis in a single round
- Tame an Alpha Wolf
- Have 3 different kinds of pets at once
- Chop down 5 giant trees in a single round
- Clear the Diamond Stronghold
Example Tier 3 quests
- Defeat the Cultist King
- Open 3 Ruby Chests
- Tame a Mammoth
- Fish up 5 items that aren’t fish
- Connect all four fragments of a Gem of the Forest
- Clear a level 4 Cultist Stronghold

Step by step: a daily routine that pays
- Check the machine before you queue. Read all three quests in the lobby.
- Pick your class for the quests. Some quests name a class, and some classes make quests trivial.
- Do the quick ones early in the run. Flowers, Farm Plots and paintings fit into the first days.
- Plan the hard one with your team. Strongholds and the Cultist King go faster in a group.
- Head back to the lobby to collect your Diamonds and see which Flame you got.
Tips
- Beastmaster shortcut: its level 3 perk makes your first summoned Wolf an Alpha Wolf, which counts for “Tame an Alpha Wolf”. See my Taming page for doing it the normal way.
- Frog keys count toward “Fish up 5 items that aren’t fish”.
- Grenadier trick: for “Get a kill using an explosive weapon from the Caves”, an impact grenade on a Bunny on day one does the job.
- Ruby Chests come from Strongholds. For “Open 3 Ruby Chests”, run Strongholds. My Chests page explains why.
- Diamonds from quests add up fast. My Diamonds guide ranks every other source.
Common mistakes
- Forgetting to pull the lever. No lever, no quests, no Diamonds.
- Starting a run with the wrong class for a class-specific quest.
- Skipping the “Campfire out” quest because it sounds scary. You just need to start a night with the fire out. Then relight it.
- Treating hard quests as solo work. Ruby Chests and the Cultist King are much easier with friends.
Kiko’s take: Daily Quests are free Diamonds, so I do them every day I play. I like to start with the easy one, stack the medium one into the same run, and save the hard one for when friends are online. The random Flame is a fun little surprise. It’s like a mystery prize from the bottom of a cereal box, but you earned it.
