How to Get Diamonds in 99 Nights in the Forest (Every Source, Ranked)
TL;DR, bestie
The best repeatable way to get Diamonds in 99 Nights in the Forest is the Cultist Stronghold Diamond Chest (5 Diamonds per clear, reopens after roughly 20 minutes), stacked with your daily quests (5 each, up to 15 a day). On top of that: one-time badges (around 100 Diamonds total if you chase the reachable ones), Day 50 and Day 99 rewards, codes (15 each) and update parties. Realistically, a focused free-to-play player makes about 15 Diamonds an hour, more on 2x weekends. Diamond generators are scams, every single one.

Scam check
“Free Diamonds” websites, generators and Discord giveaways that want your username and password are account-stealing scams. Diamonds only come from the game itself (badges, quests, chests, codes) or from Robux in the official shop. Nobody can add them to your account from outside.
Diamonds are the currency that buys classes, and classes are what make 99 Nights feel less like “five noobs vs one deer” and more like an actual plan. I spent the morning comparing the wiki and the community databases so you don’t have to. Here’s every way to earn them, which ones are worth your time and the order I’d actually do them in.

Every way to get Diamonds (at a glance)
| Source | Diamonds | Repeatable? |
|---|---|---|
| Cultist Stronghold Diamond Chest | 5 per clear | Yes, about every 20 minutes |
| Daily quests (3 a day from the lobby) | 5 each, 15 a day max | Daily |
| Reaching Day 50 | 2 (4 on Hard) | Every run |
| Reaching Day 99 | 3 (8 on Hard) | Every run |
| Badges | Varies, around 100 total | One time each |
| Class quest badges | 6 each | One time each |
| Codes | 15 per code | One time each |
| “yay fishing” chat trick | 2 | One time |
| Update parties (developer events) | Often 20-40 if you’re there | Event only |
| Rare high-tier chests | Occasionally 1 | Random |
| Robux shop | Paid packs | Yes |
That table is the whole game, honestly. The rest of this post is about how to use it without wasting your evening.
1. Farm the Cultist Stronghold (the main engine)
Fact: clearing a Cultist Stronghold unlocks a Diamond Chest worth 5 Diamonds. The stronghold resets after roughly 20 minutes, so you can clear it again in the same run.
How I’d do it:
- Gear up first. Don’t walk in with a sack and vibes. A decent gun or spear, armor and some food make the clear much faster.
- Clear it, grab the chest, leave. Don’t loot every corner if the timer matters to you.
- Do something useful while it resets. Chop wood, cook, upgrade the fire. Twenty minutes is plenty of time for camp chores.
- Clear it again. Rinse, repeat. Some players leave and rejoin a fresh server instead of waiting, which also works.
My take: solo is often better than a public lobby for this, because the chest goes to whoever opens it and randoms tend to wander off mid-fight. If you have one reliable friend, a duo is the sweet spot. Difficulty also stacks the stronghold up later in a run, so the clears get spicier the longer you stay.
2. Do your three daily quests (every single day)
You get three daily quests from the lobby, and each one pays 5 Diamonds, so that’s 15 a day for stuff you’d mostly be doing anyway (kill X wolves, cook X meals, survive X nights).
Hot take: daily quests are the most underrated Diamond source in the game. Fifteen a day is 105 a week with zero grind, which is a 100-Diamond class in a week. Check them before every session and pick runs that clear them, rather than finishing a run and realizing you needed to cook three steaks.

3. Push deep: Day 50 and Day 99
Surviving to Day 50 pays 2 Diamonds (4 on Hard), and Day 99 pays 3 (8 on Hard). On their own, those numbers are small. The point is that a long run also gives you more stronghold clears, more quest progress and a shot at badges. A deep run is basically a Diamond farm with a story attached.
If your squad can handle it, Hard mode roughly doubles the milestone payout and has its own badge worth 10 for beating Day 99. I’d only try that once your team can comfortably clear normal.
4. Grab the one-time badges
Badges pay Diamonds the first time you earn them. Across the reachable ones it adds up to roughly 100 Diamonds, which is a huge head start for a new account. Class quest badges pay 6 each, and The Hollow badge pays 4.
What I’d do: look at the badge list on the game page, pick the ones you’ll earn naturally (survive milestones, class quests) and ignore the brutal ones until later. No need to chase a 0.1% badge for 5 Diamonds.
5. Redeem every code (quick free Diamonds)
Current codes pay 15 Diamonds each, and the “yay fishing” chat trick gives 2 more. That’s free money you shouldn’t skip. My 99 Nights codes page has the working list and how to redeem them.
6. Show up for update parties
When a big update drops (the developers usually update on Saturdays), they sometimes hang out in servers and spawn Diamonds for players. People report 20-40 Diamonds from a good party. It’s luck and timing, not a strategy, but if you’re online when an update lands, it’s worth hopping in.
How fast can you actually earn Diamonds?
Being realistic: about 15 Diamonds an hour is a good ceiling for steady free play (stronghold clears plus quest progress). On 2x Diamond weekends, that doubles to about 30. Squads that can handle Hard mode report around 29 Diamonds per hour-long run to Day 99 with three stronghold clears.
You’ll see thumbnails promising 100 or even 360 Diamonds a day or an hour. My take: those are best-case runs, 2x weekends or both. Plan around the boring number and you’ll never feel cheated. So for a 600-Diamond class, a brand-new free-to-play player is looking at a few weeks of regular play once codes and badges are used up. That’s not fast, but it’s fair.
The order I’d do it in as a new player:
- Redeem all codes (45-ish Diamonds instantly).
- Do daily quests every day.
- Earn the easy badges in your first runs.
- Farm stronghold clears during long runs.
- Save for one class. My class tier list says Scavenger (25) is the best cheap buy, and the 600-Diamond S tier classes are the long-term goal.
Common Diamond mistakes
- Spending on talent rerolls early. Rolls are random. Buy the class you want first.
- Losing Diamonds to the Floating Disco Ball. Players report Diamonds getting stuck on it. Grab drops quickly and don’t let them float off.
- Buying three cheap classes you won’t use instead of saving for the one you will.
- Trusting “Diamond hack” videos. They’re thumbnail bait at best and malware at worst.
Kiko’s take: Diamonds aren’t a mystery, they’re a routine. Codes first, three dailies every day, stronghold clears in every long run and badges as you go. That’s it. The players with every class aren’t hacking. They’re just doing their dailies like it’s a Tamagotchi that needs feeding. If you’re a parent being asked for Robux for Diamonds, the free route really does work, it’s just slower, and that’s honestly part of the fun.

Clearing the Cultist Stronghold for its 5-Diamond chest, repeated about every 20 minutes, combined with your three daily quests (15 a day).
