Steal An Egg Rarity Order: Common to Divine, Finally Explained
TL;DR, bestie
The Steal An Egg rarity order, lowest to highest: Common → Uncommon → Rare → Epic → Legendary → Mythic → Cosmic → Secret → Eternal → Divine
- That’s 10 tiers. The two that confuse everyone are Cosmic (between Mythic and Secret) and Eternal (between Secret and Divine).
- Rarity, size and mutation are separate things. A huge Common isn’t automatically better than a small Secret.
- Higher-rarity eggs usually take longer to hatch, and they mostly sit in harder biomes behind bigger Speed gates.

Steal An Egg has more rarity tiers than most pet games, and the names don’t always sound like they’re in order. Is Cosmic better than Secret? Is Eternal above Divine? Here’s the full ladder, what each tier earns, and where you’ll find them.

The full rarity order
| # | Rarity | Example pet | Biome | Base income |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Common | Chicken | Forest | $1/s |
| 2 | Uncommon | Bird | Forest | $8/s |
| 3 | Rare | Owl | Forest | $35/s |
| 4 | Epic | Bear | Forest | $240/s |
| 5 | Legendary | Axolotl | Lake | $2.8K/s |
| 6 | Mythic | Tiger | Jungle | $28K/s |
| 7 | Cosmic | Royal Sphinx | Desert | $280K/s |
| 8 | Secret | Yeti | Snow | $5M/s |
| 9 | Eternal | Phoenix | Volcano | $85M/s |
| 10 | Divine | Unicorn | Cosmic | $1B/s |
Income figures are base pen income (before size and mutations) from community-tested pet tables. Treat them as close, not gospel, as the game updates weekly.
The two tiers everyone gets wrong
Cosmic is below Secret
“Cosmic” sounds like a top tier, and the Cosmic biome is an endgame zone, which makes it extra confusing. But Cosmic rarity sits between Mythic and Secret. Early biomes have Cosmic pets too. The Lake’s Leviathan, for example, is Cosmic.
Eternal is below Divine
Eternal pets are seriously strong (Volcano’s Lava Dragon and Phoenix are Eternal), but Divine is the top of the ladder. Divine pets mostly come from late biomes or special fusions.
How rarity changes income
Each step up is a big jump, roughly ten times or more at the top of the ladder. That’s why one good late-game pet can out-earn a whole pen of early ones.
| Jump | Example | Income |
|---|---|---|
| Common → Epic | Chicken → Bear | $1/s → $240/s |
| Legendary → Cosmic | Axolotl → Royal Sphinx | $2.8K/s → $280K/s |
| Secret → Eternal | Yeti → Phoenix | $5M/s → $85M/s |
| Eternal → Divine | Phoenix → Unicorn | $85M/s → $1B/s |
Where each rarity shows up
| Rarity | Typical biomes |
|---|---|
| Common–Epic | Forest, Lake, and the starting pools of each biome |
| Legendary | From the Forest onwards |
| Mythic | Desert, Jungle, Snow and later |
| Cosmic | From the Lake onwards, more common later |
| Secret | Jungle and beyond, plus surprise reset spawns |
| Eternal | Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean and later |
| Divine | Cosmic biome onwards, and special fusions |
Secret eggs can also drop into any biome when the map resets. That’s when you’ll see chat light up.

What rarity to aim for at each stage
| Your stage | Biomes you can reach | Rarity worth chasing |
|---|---|---|
| Brand new | Forest, Lake (up to ~900 Speed) | Epic and Legendary |
| Early-mid | Desert, Jungle (~10,000–40,000) | Mythic, plus any Cosmic or Secret on a reset |
| Mid | Snow, Volcano (~170,000–700,000) | Secret and your first Eternal |
| Late | Abyss Ocean, Prehistoric (~2.5M–18M) | Eternal |
| Endgame | Cosmic and beyond (~700M+) | Divine |
You don’t need to chase the top of the ladder to make progress. Each stage’s best eggs fund the Speed for the next one. Swap your weakest pets out as soon as something better hatches, and keep climbing.
Rarity vs size vs mutation
| What | What it means |
|---|---|
| Rarity | The tier on this list. It sets the pet’s base income |
| Size | Bigger pets earn more than small ones of the same species |
| Mutation | Extra effects like Silver, Gold or Rainbow that multiply value |
A huge Mythic with a good mutation can beat a tiny Cosmic, so don’t sell pets on rarity alone. Check what they actually earn in your pen.
Using rarity to plan
- Early on, pen whatever you hatch and focus on Speed. Rarity climbs naturally as you reach new biomes.
- Fuse duplicates. Three of the same pet go into the Fuse machine for a stronger result. Silver and Gold variants count as the same type.
- Don’t fuse pets with mutations you want to keep. The result can lose the mutation.
- Hatch times grow with rarity. Top-tier eggs can take hours, so keep them in the garden and let them hatch while you’re offline.
Kiko’s take: I like to think of the ladder in three chunks. Common to Legendary is “normal pet game”. Mythic to Secret is “now we’re cooking”. Eternal and Divine are the Holo Charizards: you’ll remember your first one forever. And yes, I also thought Cosmic was the top tier. We all did.
Scam check
Scam check: nobody can “give” you a Divine through a website, a Discord link or a “code”. Steal An Egg has no codes. If someone promises a Divine for your password or a payment, it’s a scam. Every time.
