99 Nights in the Forest Halloween 2026: Trick or Treat, Costumes and Candy

TL;DR, bestie

99 Nights in the Forest has run Halloween 2026 in stages. Helping Happy (3 Oct) added Happy’s Scythe. Trick or Treat Part 1 (17–24 Oct) had costume sets and house knocking for Candy. The Hollow (25–31 Oct) was a Red Flower hunt. Right now the Hedge Maze Refresh is live until Sat 7 Nov: 2:30am PT / 5:30am ET / 10:30am GMT / 9:30pm AEDT / 11:30pm NZDT. It adds Carnival Tickets, the Witch’s return and the Ghost Ranger class for 1,000 Candy.

Grandma’s Favourite Games stretched Halloween across a whole month, which is great for players and chaotic for anyone trying to keep track. Here’s the timeline, how trick-or-treating actually works, the full Candy shop and what’s still worth doing before the maze closes.

How trick-or-treating works

This is how it worked in Part 1. It’s worth knowing, since Candy still matters for the Ghost Ranger.

  1. Collect costume pieces. They drop from boxes, chests and enemies.
  2. Build the Costume Closet at camp to store and swap sets.
  3. Place a Halloween Candle at a decorated house, then knock at night.
  4. Get paid in Candy: 1 Candy per costume piece you’re wearing, or 8 for a full matching four-piece set. Turn up with no costume and you get a Trick instead.

A full set doubles your payout compared with four random pieces, which is basically the 99 Nights version of matching your Walkman to your jacket.

Hedge Maze Refresh: what’s live now

  • Carnival Tickets drop in the maze. Three tickets at the booth gets you either the Vampire Scythe or the Vampire Cloak.
  • The Witch is back, so fans of the Witch class can grab it again.
  • Ghost Ranger costs 1,000 Candy and comes with the Ghost Crossbow. Creators are already comparing it with the Witch, and early videos are calling it strong. I’ll wait for more than a weekend of gameplay before calling it “broken”.
  • One creator says a new secret code arrived with the maze update. I haven’t been able to verify it yet, so it’s not on my 99 Nights codes page. I only list a code once it’s confirmed.

Kiko’s take: If you have the Candy, the Ghost Ranger is the one buy that outlives Halloween, because it’s a class rather than decor. Save your three Carnival Tickets for the Vampire Scythe if you actually fight. Pick the Cloak if you’re a camp-decorator main. Skip the Badge Pack unless you’re a completionist.

FAQ

When does 99 Nights in the Forest Halloween end?

The current stage, the Hedge Maze Refresh, ends Sat 7 Nov: 2:30am PT / 5:30am ET / 10:30am GMT / 9:30pm AEDT / 11:30pm NZDT.

How do you get Candy in 99 Nights?

Wear costume pieces and knock on decorated houses at night after placing a Halloween Candle. You get 1 Candy per piece, or 8 for a full set.

How much is the Ghost Ranger class?

1,000 Candy during the Hedge Maze Refresh. It comes with the Ghost Crossbow.

Are there Halloween codes for 99 Nights?

The “happyhalloween” code has expired. Working codes (as of 1 November 2026) are on my 99 Nights codes page.

Scam check

No site can “add Candy” or “unlock Ghost Ranger” for you. Diamond and Candy generators are scams, and so are “free class” Discord links. Codes go in through the game’s own Codes button, and that’s it.
