Evil Unicorn in Adopt Me: Halloween 2019, Candy Cost, Neon and Demand
TL;DR, bestie
- The Evil Unicorn is a Legendary pet from Adopt Me!'s Halloween Event 2019. It hit the Candy Trading Shop on 25 October 2019.
- It cost 108,000 Candy. When the event closed on 1 November 2019, the shop closed with it — trading is the only way to get a permanent one now.
- Neon glows bright red on mane, horn and tail. Mega Neon cycles red, pink and orange (eyes included).
- Demand stays high for a retired Halloween flex. Never accept “trust trades.”
On this page
I still clock an Evil Unicorn the second it walks past the neighborhood fountain. Black body, dark red mane, horn and tail, those tiny glowing red eyes — it's the Unicorn silhouette after someone dipped it in Halloween energy and refused to apologize.
Same bones as the classic Unicorn. Totally different vibe.
This page is the full checklist: where it came from, what 108,000 Candy actually meant in 2019, how Neon and Mega Neon look, the tricks, how I trade for one without getting finessed, and how it stacks up against Golden Unicorn, Diamond Unicorn, Bat Dragon and Shadow Dragon. If you only need the short version, the TL;DR already answered you.

How to get an Evil Unicorn
Then: Candy Trading Shop (Halloween 2019)
During the final week of the Halloween Event 2019, Uplift put the Evil Unicorn in the Candy Trading Shop for 108,000 Candy. Candy came from event gameplay or purchases — same grind loop that made a whole generation of players learn what “event currency” feels like. It sat beside the Bat Dragon (the 180,000 Candy flex of that shop) while Shadow Dragon and Zombie Buffalo rounded out the same event's big pet lineup.
The event itself started around 18 October 2019. Evil Unicorn and Bat Dragon landed in that last week on 25 October 2019.
When the event ended on 1 November 2019, the Candy shop closed. No restock.
No “coming back next Halloween” promise that stuck. Off-sale means off-sale.
Now: trade only
You cannot buy it, hatch it or win a permanent one from a normal egg pool today. Trading is the whole game. That means a Trade License, patience, and a healthy allergy to anyone who seems too eager.
Before you lock anything:
- Confirm the pet is actually an Evil Unicorn — not a regular Unicorn with dark pet wear, not a Halloween Black Ponycycle flex confused for the pet, not a lookalike screenshot from chat.
- Check age and potions (Ride / Fly / Neon / Mega) in the trade window, not in Discord DMs or “proof” images.
- If the other person rushes you, that's your exit cue.

What it looks like (and Neon / Mega Neon)
Base Evil Unicorn is the classic Unicorn shape in a black body with a dark red horn, mane and tail. Two glowing red beady eyes do most of the “evil” marketing.
Ear insides are pale pink — a soft detail that keeps it cute instead of pure horror-movie. Fun history note: the horn started black and was later updated to red, so older screenshots can look slightly different from what you see in-game now.
Neon Evil Unicorn keeps that black body and pushes a bright red glow across the mane, horn and tail. It reads clearly even on low graphics, which is why it still works as a Halloween flex in busy servers.
Mega Neon glows in the same zones plus the eyes, cycling through red, pink and orange. If you're building a spooky shelf, Mega is the showpiece; if you just want “people notice me at night,” Neon is already loud.

Ages, tricks and what to do with it
Like other Legendaries, it ages through Newborn → Junior → Pre-Teen → Teen → Post-Teen → Full Grown. Feed it, keep it out, use the pet care loop you already know. Trick order:
- Newborn — Sit
- Junior — Lay Down
- Pre-Teen — Bounce
- Teen — Roll Over
- Post-Teen — Backflip
- Full Grown — Dance
Use tricks in roleplay photos or just to flex after a trade. Aging four matching Evil Unicorns is how you craft Neon; four Neons make Mega Neon.
That grind is real. Budget time, not vibes.
My age-up guide and Neon / Mega Neon guide cover the shortcuts if you're committing to the fuse.
Demand, rarity and scam checks (no fake numbers)
Because it is a retired 2019 Halloween Legendary, supply never refreshes from the shop. Every Neon or Mega someone crafts also pulls four matching pets out of the “normal” pool, which slowly tightens the economy further. Demand stays high and steady: collectors finishing a Halloween shelf, players who want a dark Unicorn line, and traders who treat 2019 event Legendaries like the Holo Charizard of Adopt Me! inventories.
I will not quote third-party value list numbers here. Those lists disagree with each other and go stale overnight.
On kikomii I describe demand in words, and the value tools are on the way. Until then:
- High demand signals: multiple people offering solid Legendaries quickly, Neon/Mega versions getting more attention than base, people specifically asking for Evil Uni in trade servers.
- Soft demand signals: long AFK holds, people only offering commons, or “adds?” spam with nothing real behind it.
- Scam check: never leave the official trade window. Never “hold” a pet for someone. Never click random links from chat. If someone claims Evil Unicorn is “back in the shop tonight,” “admin only,” or “free from a code,” they're lying — it's been trade-only since November 2019.

How it compares to similar pets
- Unicorn — the original. Same silhouette, still obtainable from older egg paths. Way easier to find; way less Halloween flex.
- Golden Unicorn — metallic gold Star Rewards / egg lane. Still obtainable. Softer scarcity than Evil Unicorn.
- Diamond Unicorn — icy shiny twin. Different aesthetic, different obtain story.
- Balloon Unicorn — another Unicorn-family flex with its own event history and demand curve.
- Bat Dragon — same final week of Halloween 2019, higher Candy price (180,000). Different body, similar “retired event Legend” energy.
- Shadow Dragon — same event, Robux Candy shop Legendary. Often compared in the same trade conversations.
If you want spooky Unicorn energy, Evil Unicorn wins. If you want pure top-shelf dragon flex, look at Bat Dragon or Shadow Dragon instead and leave this one as the dark horse of the Unicorn line.
Beginner tips
- Learn the silhouette so you don't get bait-and-switched with a regular Unicorn plus dark accessories.
- Don't panic-buy because a TikTok said it's “leaving the economy tomorrow.” It's already retired. Urgency scams love that rumor format.
- Start by watching completed trades in public servers before you put your best pets on the line.
Advanced tips
- Age toward Neon only if you enjoy the grind or already have multiples. Trading for a finished Neon can be saner than hatching-or-trading four from scratch.
- Keep screenshots of your inventory after a completed trade if a friend-group dispute ever comes up — not because Roblox will reverse it, but because receipts keep drama short.
- Pair it with Halloween pet wear sparingly. The pet is already doing the whole “dark Unicorn” speech by itself.
- Know the vehicle cousin exists (Halloween Black Ponycycle) so nobody confuses a vehicle flex for the pet in a rushed trade chat.
Common mistakes
- Assuming it will return to the Candy shop next Halloween. It hasn't as a permanent buyable pet since 2019.
- Paying panic prices because a creator hyped a fake “removal” or “value crash tonight.”
- Trust trading. Instant report-and-block energy.
- Confusing Evil Unicorn with a recolored Unicorn toy or dark pet wear combo.
- Forcing a Mega Neon grind when you only love the base look — that's how people burn out and then accept bad trades.
History and updates
Released 25 October 2019 in the final week of the Halloween Event 2019 for 108,000 Candy. Event closed 1 November 2019 and the pet went off-sale for good as a shop item.
Mega Neon crafting for pets in this era opened later (Mega Neons became a thing in April 2020), so early owners lived with base and Neon first. The horn color update (black → red) is why some ancient thumbnails look off compared to today's model.
It has also shown up as a featured pet in later Halloween minigames (including Chickatrice Says in 2022 and 2023), which keeps the name in circulation even though the shop stay was short.
That short shop window is the whole story of its scarcity. Fewer Candy grinds completed at 108k than people like to admit, and every Neon fuse since then has tightened the pool further.
I'd trade for an Evil Unicorn if I wanted a Halloween shelf that actually looks scary-cute, not if I wanted a retirement plan. It's iconic without needing a dragon body, and the Neon red glow still hits.
My one warning: it's scam bait. If a trade involves “trust me, go first,” leaving the game to “verify,” or a deal that looks way too generous, walk away.
A real Evil Unicorn trade happens in the trade window, in one go. Now go touch grass. After you check the trade window twice.

FAQ
Can I still buy the Evil Unicorn in Adopt Me?
No. It left the Candy Trading Shop when the Halloween Event 2019 ended on 1 November 2019. Trading is the only way now.
How much Candy did the Evil Unicorn cost?
108,000 Candy in the Candy Trading Shop during the final week of Halloween 2019.
When was the Evil Unicorn released?
25 October 2019, in the final week of the Halloween Event 2019.
Does Evil Unicorn have Neon and Mega Neon?
Yes. Age four matching pets for Neon, then four Neons for Mega Neon. Neon glows bright red on the mane, horn and tail; Mega cycles red, pink and orange (including the eyes).
Is Evil Unicorn rarer than Bat Dragon or Shadow Dragon?
Same event family, different lanes. Bat Dragon cost more Candy; Shadow Dragon was a Robux shop Legendary. All three are retired and trade-only — demand profiles differ, so compare them on each pet's page instead of one fake ranking.
What's the difference between Evil Unicorn and regular Unicorn?
Same family silhouette. Evil Unicorn is the black-and-red Halloween limited Legendary; the regular Unicorn is still obtainable from older egg paths.
How do I avoid getting scammed while trading for one?
Use only the official trade window, verify the exact pet and potions in that window, and ignore trust trades, family holds or random links.
Should I make it Neon?
If you love the red glow and already have multiples, yes. If you only have one, enjoy the base pet or trade carefully instead of forcing a four-pet grind.
