Celestial in MM2: The Star Chakram From Christmas 2024
TL;DR, bestie
- Celestial is an Ancient knife in Murder Mystery 2. It was the final reward of the Christmas Event 2024 Battle Pass.
- After all 20 tiers, it cost 98,000 Snow Tokens. The event ran from 20 December 2024 to 1 February 2025.
- It’s the first Ancient knife shaped like a chakram, a star-covered crescent moon.
- Its partner gun is the Godly Constellation. Trading is the only way to get either now.

Most Ancients are axes, hammers or scythes. Celestial broke the pattern by being a throwing ring shaped like a crescent moon, covered in tiny gold stars. It’s the coziest-looking murder weapon in the game, which is a sentence I can only write about MM2. Here’s where it came from and what to know if you want one.

How to get Celestial
The Christmas 2024 Battle Pass had 20 tiers. Tier 1 was free and every other tier cost 800 Snow Tokens. Once you cleared the last tier, the Celestial unlocked as a purchase for 98,000 Snow Tokens on top. That’s a serious grind, even by MM2 event standards.
The event closed on 1 February 2025, so trading is the only way now. Read my MM2 trading guide first, and check the MM2 scams list, because event Ancients are popular bait in fake trades.
What it looks like
It’s a dark blue crescent moon with small gold stars scattered across it and one big star in the middle. The grip is wrapped in dark blue fabric with gold edges and a star at each end. The game files even name the texture after a chakram, so that’s confirmed rather than a fan guess. It also matches the Celestial effect, which shares its name.
Set and history
Celestial’s partner is the Godly gun Constellation, a royal blue revolver with gold stars. Constellation came from the Christmas 2024 box, and there’s a Chroma version too. Together they make the Celestial Set, and the render above shows how well they match.
A few more things worth knowing:
- Event-track Ancient. Celestial is one of a long line of Ancients sold at the end of an event track, after the Elderwood Scythe, Hallowscythe, Harvester, Icepiercer, Gingerscope and more.
- Trophy versions. Red, Bronze, Silver and Gold Celestials went to players on the top 100 leaderboard. They’re separate items from the normal knife, so read the name carefully in any trade.
- Same designer as many classics. It was designed by IDontHaveAUse, who’s behind a lot of MM2’s most famous items.
Demand and rarity
Demand is high. It’s a recent Ancient with a unique shape, a matching set and a big unlock cost, which keeps supply tight. The full Celestial Set is especially popular, and the leaderboard trophy versions are much rarer than the normal knife.
I don’t post numeric trade values. MM2 values move and the lists don’t always agree. My Ancient values post covers the tier as a whole, and kikomii value tools are on the way.
Kiko’s take: Celestial is my favorite-looking Ancient from the newer events, no cap. It doesn’t look like it’s trying too hard, it just looks expensive. If you want it, think about the full set early. Hunting the Constellation after you already own the knife usually costs more, because the other person knows you need it.
