How to Redeem a Roblox Gift Card (and What to Do If It Doesn’t Work)
TL;DR, bestie
- Go to roblox.com/redeem in a web browser. The normal Roblox app and consoles can’t redeem.
- Log in to the right account.
- Type the PIN and select Redeem.
If the code doesn’t work:
- Check for lookalike characters (0/O, 1/I, 2/Z, 5/S, 6/G, 8/B).
- Check the card was activated at the till.
- Contact Roblox Support with the PIN, the serial number, a photo of the receipt and both sides of the card.
Roblox doesn’t refund gift cards, so redeem on the right account.

You’ve got the card, the kid’s vibrating, and the code says “invalid”. Deep breath. It’s almost always one of five things. Here’s the full redeem process, then the fix for each problem.
How to redeem a Roblox gift card, by device

After you select Redeem, a confirmation shows what was added (credit or Robux, plus any free item).
Before you start: a 30-second checklist
- Which account? Make sure the browser is logged in to the account that should get the credit. Siblings sharing a tablet is the number one “wrong account” cause.
- Is it a Roblox card? Generic store cards (like an app store card) don’t redeem at roblox.com/redeem. Those go through the app store instead.
- Physical card? Scratch the PIN gently with a coin, edge first.
- E-gift? Copy and paste the code rather than retyping it, but check no extra spaces sneak in.
Credit vs Robux: what you’ll see
Most Roblox gift cards add credit in your local currency rather than Robux straight away. That gives you the choice of Robux or Roblox Plus. If you just want Robux, buy a Robux package with the credit after redeeming. Amazon and Party Pack cards are the exception, and go straight to Robux.
Then spend it
Credit sits on the account until you use it:
- Buy Robux with it.
- Get Roblox Plus with gift card credit, straight from the redeem page.
- Amazon gift cards and Party Pack cards go straight to Robux.
“It doesn’t work”: fixes in order

When to contact Roblox Support
If nothing above works, contact Roblox Support with:
- the username(s);
- the purchase date, amount, store and city;
- your country;
- the gift card PIN and serial number;
- a photo of the receipt;
- photos of the front and back of the card (or the full e-gift card);
- a screenshot of any error.
Images must be .jpg or .png.
Scam check
Scam check: nobody legit asks you to send them a gift card code. That includes “Roblox staff”, a “friend” in chat, or someone offering to “redeem it for you”. And “gift card generator” sites are fake: they steal logins. The code goes in one place only: roblox.com/redeem, on your own screen.
Good habits
- Decide what it’s for first. Agree on the item or game pass before redeeming, so the credit doesn’t vanish on random emotes in five minutes.
- Check spending notifications if you have a linked parent account. You’ll see how the credit gets used.
- Redeem it with your kid, on their account, so it’s on the right one first time.
- Keep the receipt and card until the credit shows up.
- Take a photo of the PIN before scratching too hard.
Kiko’s take: Nine times out of ten, “invalid code” is a 0 that’s meant to be an O. The tenth time it’s a card that never got activated at the till, so keep that receipt like it’s a 1999 Blockbuster membership card.

Can I redeem a Roblox gift card in the app?
Not in the standard app. Use a web browser at roblox.com/redeem. Only the Samsung Galaxy Store version of the app can redeem.
Can I redeem on Xbox or PlayStation?
No. Redeem in a browser, logged in to the same account.
My kid redeemed it on their sibling’s account. Can it be moved?
It’s not guaranteed. Contact Roblox Support with the card details and both usernames, and be prepared for a no.
How many gift cards can I redeem?
As many as you like, one at a time.
Can I get a refund?
No. Roblox doesn’t refund gift cards.
