Parrot in Adopt Me: The Jungle Egg Legendary, Tricks and Neon Glow
TL;DR, bestie
- The Parrot is a Legendary pet that arrived with the Jungle Egg on 31 August 2019.
- The Jungle Egg cost 750 Bucks and gave about a 3% chance at a Parrot. The egg is retired, so trading (or hatching an old Jungle Egg you still own) is the only way in now.
- Its Neon glows on the wings, tail and talons in its own red, yellow and blue. The Mega Neon cycles red, yellow, teal, pink and purple.
- Demand is steady rather than wild. It’s a classic, not a status flex.

The Parrot is a scarlet macaw in pet form, and honestly it’s one of the most cheerful Legendaries Adopt Me! ever shipped. Red body, rainbow wings, a little white face patch. It was the star of the Jungle Egg update thumbnail, and it still shows up on shoulders in every trading server I join. If you’re thinking about trading for one, this is what I’d want to know first.

How to get the Parrot
Back in 2019 you bought a Jungle Egg at the Nursery for 750 Bucks, hatched it and hoped for that roughly 3% roll. The Jungle Egg has been off-sale for years, so today you have two options:
- Trade for one. This is how almost everyone gets a Parrot now. You’ll need your Trade License first.
- Hatch an old Jungle Egg. If you (or a friend) somehow still has one sitting in an inventory, it can still hatch. The odds are the same tiny 3%, so don’t plan your life around it.

That thumbnail above is from the original Jungle Egg update. The Parrot was the face of the whole thing, which tells you how much Uplift Games liked this bird.
What it looks like
It’s built like a real scarlet macaw: bright red feathers, white patches on the face, a black beak, small black eyes and yellow talons. The wings are the fun part, layered in red, yellow and blue. It shares a body shape with the Crow, but the animations are different, and when you ride it the movement feels a lot like the Toucan.
Fun extra: a tiny Parrot sits on the Pirate Hat & Friend pet accessory, and the Parrot also helped players fight pirate ships in the Treasure Defense minigame during Summer Festival 2025. Not bad for a 2019 egg pet.
Ages, Neon and Mega Neon
As it grows, the Parrot learns Sit, Lay Down, Beg, Headstand, Dance 1 and finally Dance 2 at Full Grown. Legendaries need a lot of tasks per age, so my age-up guide is worth a look before you start.

Fuse four Full Grown Parrots and you get a Neon. Instead of switching to one glow color like many pets, the Neon Parrot lights up its wings, tail and talons in its own normal colors, so it looks like the regular bird with the brightness turned up. Four Luminous Neons make a Mega Neon, where those same spots cycle through red, yellow, teal, pink and purple. The full process is in my Neon and Mega Neon guide.
Demand and rarity
The Parrot is retired and Legendary, so the supply only shrinks as people fuse them into Neons. That keeps it collectible. But it doesn’t sit at the very top of the trading ladder next to the big Halloween dragons. I’d call demand steady: plenty of people want one, few people are desperate for one. Neons and especially Mega Neons are much harder to find than the plain version.
I never post numeric trade values on wiki pages. They swing daily and the value lists disagree. My Adopt Me value list explains how I read the lists, and kikomii value tools are on the way.
Kiko’s take: The Parrot is the pet I’d recommend to someone who wants a “real” Legendary without getting dragged into the top-tier trading circus. It looks great, it’s recognizable and it’s retired. On my “would I trade my Tamagotchi for it” scale, the Mega Neon is a solid yes. Just don’t overpay because someone calls it “rare” in all caps. Check a couple of lists and ask around first.
FAQ
Can I still hatch a Parrot in Adopt Me? Only from a Jungle Egg that someone already owns. The egg isn’t sold anymore, so trading is the realistic route.
What are the Parrot’s hatch odds? About 3% from the Jungle Egg.
Is the Parrot rarer than the Crow? Both are retired 2019 Legendaries from 750-Buck eggs. The Crow had a lower hatch chance (1.5%), but trading demand depends on more than odds, so I compare them case by case.
What does the Mega Neon Parrot look like? Its wings, tail and talons cycle through red, yellow, teal, pink and purple.
