What Is a Shadow Dragon Worth in Adopt Me? Value, Demand and Trade Tips

TL;DR, bestie

Shadow Dragon value (1 November 2026): a normal Fly Ride Shadow Dragon is worth about 2.1 Frost Dragons: 214 on Adopt Me Values (Frost = 100) and 677 on AdoptMeValues (Frost = 316). A Neon is about 4.3 Frosts, and a Mega Neon about 10.5 Frosts. No-potion Shadows are valued 20–25% higher on both lists. Demand is High. It’s the second most valuable regular pet in Adopt Me, behind only the Bat Dragon.

The Shadow Dragon is Adopt Me’s Holo Charizard: the pet everyone wanted in 2019 and still wants now. It’s also the one trade where “is this fair?” really matters, because the numbers are big and the scammers know it.

Both lists put a normal Fly Ride Shadow Dragon at 2.14 Frost Dragons. When two separate lists agree to two decimal places, that’s about as solid as Adopt Me values get.

The no-potion premium is real

This is the biggest thing to know before trading a Shadow Dragon:

VersionNo potion vs Fly Ride (Adopt Me Values)(AdoptMeValues)
Normal+21%+25%
Neon+39%+54%
Mega Neon+60%+61%

A no-potion Mega Shadow Dragon is valued about 60% higher than a Fly Ride one on both lists. Collectors pay extra for a “clean” Mega because they’re rare (most people potion their pets) and they can pick the potions themselves. So:

  • Own a no-potion Shadow? Don’t accept Fly Ride-level offers for it.
  • Thinking about potioning one? Check the value first. A Fly Ride potion can actually lower what a Neon or Mega Shadow trades for.

How the Shadow Dragon compares

Shadow Dragon2.14High
Giraffe1.47High
Frost Dragon1.00High

Values from Adopt Me Values (26 October snapshot), cross-checked with AdoptMeValues on 1 November.

Notice the Mega Neon gap: a Mega Shadow (about 10.5 Frosts) is worth less than half a Mega Bat Dragon (about 21.7), even though a normal Shadow is two-thirds of a normal Bat. Mega prices don’t scale evenly, so check Mega values directly instead of multiplying.

What does a fair Shadow Dragon trade look like?

Offer for one normal FR ShadowRough totalVerdict
2 Frost Dragons + a small addAbout 2.1 FrostsFair
1 Giraffe + 1 OwlAbout 2.2 FrostsFair, slight W for you
1 Frost + 2 CrowsAbout 2.1 FrostsFair on paper, but it’s more pets to trade later
1 Neon Frost DragonAbout 1.7 FrostsL for you

The cleanest trades are a couple of high-demand pets. Five or six mid pets “adding up” to 2.1 Frosts sounds fair until you try to trade them on. My trading guide covers value vs demand properly.

How to get a Shadow Dragon in 2026

Only by trading. It was the top pet from the Halloween 2019 event and isn’t sold any more. It’s been climbing slowly (Adopt Me Values had it up about 0.5% over the month to 26 October), and AdoptMeValues’ trade feed showed more people asking for it than offering it.

Kiko’s take: The Shadow Dragon is the “forever pet” of Adopt Me. It’s high demand, stable and never coming back. Trading for one? Go for clean combos. Got a no-potion one? Treat it like the Holo Charizard it is, and don’t let anyone price it as Fly Ride. Lowkey the only pet I’d keep in a sleeve.

Scam check

Shadow Dragon trades attract scammers. The classics:

  • The swap: they add a Shadow Dragon, then swap it at the last second for a lookalike or a lower version (potion or no potion, normal or Neon). Read the final trade window slowly every time.
  • “Trust trade” or “you go first”: you won’t get anything back.
  • Fake value screenshots that make your Shadow look cheaper. Check a real list yourself.
  • Real-money or Robux sales break the rules, and the buyer or seller usually disappears.
