Events in Steal An Egg: Rifts, Bosses and Limited Grinds
TL;DR, bestie
- Steal An Egg events are timed modes that add bosses, currencies, limited eggs or map takeovers.
- Big recurring ones include the Rift Event, Dr. Scramble invasions / Laboratory, Racing, and seasonal Halloween drops.
- Events usually run on a timer (often about every 30 minutes for boss invasions) or as a dated season.
- Always pair the live event UI with the latest Updates card so you don't farm a retired machine.
Events are how Steal An Egg keeps the treadmill from feeling like a day job. One hour you're stealing Forest chickens, the next hour a rift opens or a scientist parks a mecha on your biome. This page is the map of event types — deep dives live on their own pages.

How it works
An event either rotates on a server timer (drones every half hour, rift windows) or lands as a dated season with its own shop and eggs. Rewards lean toward event currency, limited pets/eggs, banners and milestone tracks. When the event ends, those currencies often stop earning — spend them before the banner leaves.

Dr. Scramble-style events can rewrite systems mid-season (Laboratory replacing older trade-ins). Rift events emphasize boss fights and rift eggs.
Racing is the "go fast, get reward" cousin. Halloween layers candy or spooky eggs on top of normal biomes. Hungry Monster and friends show up as named encounters inside those loops.
Step by step
- Join and open the event / news panel before you grind.
- Note the timer, currency name and end condition.
- Decide if the reward is worth pausing your normal biome farm.
- Complete the loop (kill drones, close rifts, finish races) until the milestone you care about.
- Spend event currency before the patch removes the shop.

Tips
- Set a phone timer near the posted interval so you don't miss the spawn while AFK on the treadmill.
- Read pity / trade-in lines on the Updates page when an event ships a "Part 2."
- Keep one inventory slot free for event drops. Full bags make sad screenshots.
- If two events overlap, pick the one with the limited egg you don't own yet.
Common mistakes
- Farming Samples for a machine that Update 6 already replaced.
- Ignoring the event because "I'll finish treadmill first" and missing the whole window.
- Treating every YouTube "SECRET EVENT" thumbnail as permanent content.
- Skipping basics and wondering why event zones still soft-lock you on Speed.
I show up for events that add a pet or egg I don't have. Pure cosmetic banners can wait. My Robux and my evening are finite; Dr. Scramble's ego isn't.

How this page stays honest
Event lists change. If a brand-new Alien or UFO event is live today, treat the in-game panel as canon and this page as the framework. I'll refresh specifics when the next big Update rewrites the cast.
Event currency hygiene
Name the currency out loud when you join: Samples, tickets, candy, whatever the season invented. Then check whether it still opens a shop.
Nothing wastes a night like farming a dead token. If the Updates card says a machine was replaced, believe it before your favorite YouTuber does.
When an event adds a limited egg, I treat that egg as the real boss clear — milestones are just the bus route.
FAQ
How often do events run?
Depends. Boss invasions often loop about every 30 minutes. Seasonal events last days or weeks.
Where is the Rift Event explained?
On the Rift Event page.
Do event pets stay after the event?
Usually yes once owned. The way to earn them goes away.
