Gamepasses in Steal An Egg: Both Passes, Prices and Which I’d Buy

TL;DR, bestie

  • Steal An Egg has two gamepasses on sale right now (checked 6 November 2026 on the official Roblox store listing): X2 Money for 399 Robux and X2 Growth Speed for 467 Robux.
  • X2 Money doubles the money you earn. X2 Growth Speed makes your eggs grow twice as fast. Neither one raises your running Speed.
  • Gamepasses are one-time, permanent purchases. The Robux boosts sold in the in-game shop are separate one-off items.
  • If you only buy one, I’d pick X2 Money. The game is free to play without either.

“Should I buy the gamepass?” is one of the most common Steal An Egg questions I get, usually from someone holding a parent’s gift card. The good news: the list is short.

There are only two passes, they both do one clear thing, and you can win without them. Here’s exactly what each does and how I’d decide.

Prices come from the game’s official Roblox store listing on 6 November 2026. Developers can change prices at any time, so the in-game Store button is the final word.

How it works

A gamepass is a permanent upgrade tied to your Roblox account. Buy it once and it applies every time you play, on any device.

That’s different from the developer products in the in-game shop, like Robux speed boosts, which are used up once you buy them. People mix those up constantly, so it’s worth knowing which one you’re looking at before you tap Buy.

X2 Money doubles the money you earn, and money is what pays for treadmill upgrades, trails and almost everything else. Faster money means faster upgrades, which means you reach new biomes sooner.

X2 Growth Speed makes the eggs in your pen grow twice as fast. “Growth Speed” is about eggs, not your character.

It does nothing for your running Speed or biome gates. That one trips people up a lot.

Step by step: buying a gamepass safely

  1. Open Steal An Egg and tap the in-game Store button, or open the game’s page on Roblox and go to the Store tab.
  2. Check the name and the price. It should match the table above, or whatever the official store shows today.
  3. Confirm the purchase in Roblox’s own pop-up. Gamepasses only ever cost Robux.
  4. Rejoin if the effect doesn’t appear right away.

Parents: Roblox’s own spending controls work here. My Roblox spending limits guide shows how to set them up, and my Steal An Egg safety guide covers the game itself.

Tips

  • Buy X2 Money first if your goal is progress. It boosts the thing every other upgrade depends on.
  • Get X2 Growth Speed only if you spend a lot of time waiting on eggs in your pen and you already have a solid income.
  • Free boosts exist. The Rift Event Boss Shop sells temporary Cash and Speed multipliers for Boss Tokens, no Robux needed.
  • Check for doubles. Roblox shows “Owned” on passes you already have, so you won’t buy the same pass twice from the official store.

Common mistakes

  • Thinking Growth Speed means running speed. It doesn’t. For movement, see my speed guide.
  • Confusing passes with shop boosts. One-off Robux boosts run out. Gamepasses don’t.
  • Buying from “cheap gamepass” sites. There’s no such thing. Gamepasses are only sold through Roblox. Anything else is a scam or a stolen-account risk.
  • Falling for “free gamepass” codes. Steal An Egg doesn’t hand out gamepasses with codes. My codes post explains what free stuff actually exists.

If someone asked me how to spend 400 Robux on Steal An Egg, I’d say X2 Money and stop there. It’s the one purchase that keeps paying you back.

X2 Growth Speed is nice, not necessary. And honestly, plenty of people get to late-game biomes with neither, so don’t let anyone in chat make you feel like you need them.

FAQ

How many gamepasses does Steal An Egg have?

Two: X2 Money (399 Robux) and X2 Growth Speed (467 Robux), as of 6 November 2026.

Does X2 Growth Speed make me run faster?

No. It makes eggs grow faster. Your running Speed comes from the treadmill, trails and income.

Are gamepasses permanent?

Yes. They stay on your account. In-game Robux boosts are one-time items.

Can I get gamepasses for free?

No. Any site or video promising free gamepasses is a scam.
