Update: Halloween ended with the 2 November update, so the Crypt is closed. Week four (23 October 2026, US time) saved the best Candy Corn pet for last. The Stray Cat Dragon is a scruffy black cat that’s been polymorphed into a dragon, with glowing blue spines. Here’s how to get it before time runs out.

How to unlock the Stray Cat Dragon
- Collect Crypt Keys from the Halloween activities.
- Open coffins in the Crypt. Each coffin rolls a random event item, and the Polymorphing Cat Food is in the pool.
- Once you have the Cat Food, go to the Carnival and find Stray Cat.
- Feed it the Cat Food. Stray Cat transforms, and the Stray Cat Dragon becomes buyable.
- Pay 120,000 Candy Corn.
If you’ve already got the Lightning Lever for the Skelicorn, the Cat Food is the next coffin item to chase. Unlock items stop dropping once you own them, so each coffin you open after the Lever has a better shot at the Cat Food than it did before.
Can I still get it?
Yes, for a few more days. The event ended on 2 November, and the keys and Cat Food disappeared with it. The Stray Cat Dragon is in the Halloween Wagon until Fri 6 Nov: 7:45am PT / 10:45am ET / 3:45pm GMT / 2:45am AEDT (Sat 7 Nov) / 4:45am NZDT (Sat 7 Nov). The Wagon notes don’t say whether the Cat Food step still applies, so check the in-game tag. After Friday, it’s trades only. My Wagon guide has the full list.
Will the Stray Cat Dragon hold value?
It’s been out for three days, so firm numbers would be a guess. Here’s the reasoning traders are using:
- Shortest window. Fewer weeks on sale usually means fewer pets made, and late-event pets often stay scarcer.
- Extra unlock step. Everyone has to grind coffins for the Cat Food first, which thins out supply further.
- Same price as the Skelicorn, which has had about two extra weeks of supply.
That points to it doing well once Halloween ends, but it isn’t guaranteed. Check two value lists before trading.

Kiko’s take: If you only get one 120,000 pet, make it this one, unless your heart says Skelicorn, which is valid. My bet is it ends up the strongest trade asset you can earn with Candy Corn alone, but that’s a bet, not a promise. This little gremlin is my Shadow Dragon of Halloween 2026: not the rarest thing ever, but the one everyone in the trade plaza wants.
Scam check
“Polymorphing Cat Food for sale” isn’t a thing. It’s untradeable. Any “Stray Cat Dragon giveaway” that needs you to drop pets first, or visit a link, is a scam. And the trade-window classic: if someone adds a Stray Cat Dragon then swaps it for a lookalike pet at the last second, decline and re-check.
