Adopt Me! trade chat can look like someone sat on a keyboard. “LF MFR, OF NFR + adds, W or L?” means something, I promise. Here’s the shorthand you’ll see in servers, trade listings and value videos, decoded.

Pet versions
| Term | Means | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| NP / No Potion | Plain pet, no Fly or Ride | Usually the lowest value version |
| F | Fly | Has a Fly-A-Pet potion applied |
| R | Ride | Has a Ride-A-Pet potion applied |
| FR | Fly + Ride | Both potions |
| N | Neon | Made from 4 Full Grown copies of the same pet |
| NFR | Neon Fly Ride | A Neon with both potions |
| M / Mega | Mega Neon | Made from 4 Luminous Neons of the same pet |
| MFR | Mega Neon Fly Ride | Usually the top version of any pet |
Neon ages have their own names too: Reborn, Twinkle, Sparkle, Flare, Sunshine, Luminous. “Lumi” is short for Luminous.

Words that should set off alarm bells
| Phrase | What it usually means |
|---|---|
| “Trust trade” | A scam. You accept for nothing and they don’t return the favor |
| “Give first, I’ll send after” | A scam. There’s no “after” |
| “18+ items” | A scam. The window only holds 18 a side |
| “Cross-trade” / “Robux for pets” | Against the rules, and a common scam |
| “Check my value list” | Possibly fake. Use your own source |
Scam check
Scam check: knowing the slang helps you spot pressure tactics. “W, accept fast!” is pressure, not advice. Slow down, read the final screen, and never trade outside the window.
Rarity words
Adopt Me! pets come in five rarities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Ultra-Rare and Legendary. Higher rarities take more tasks to reach Full Grown (from 25 tasks for a Common up to 183 for a Legendary). That’s one reason Neon and Mega versions of legendaries are worth so much. You’ll also see “egg pets” (hatched from a specific egg) and “Robux pets” (bought directly). Their value depends on whether they’re still sold.
Value-video words
If you watch trading videos, you’ll also hear:
- “Tier”: groups of pets with similar value, like “top tier” or “low tier”.
- “Huge W” / “Huge L”: a big win or loss.
- “Overpay for demand”: paying a bit extra for a pet everyone wants.
- “Hype”: a sudden rush of interest, often right after an update. It usually fades.
- “Dupes”: duplicates, meaning extra copies of the same pet. Handy for making Neons.
Reading a real trade message
“LF MFR legs, OF NFR + adds, no lowballs” → Looking for Mega Neon Fly Ride legendaries. Offering a Neon Fly Ride pet plus extra items. Don’t send bad offers.
“W or L? My FR Frost for their NFR ultra” → Is it a win or loss to trade my Fly Ride Frost Dragon for their Neon Fly Ride ultra-rare?
“Trading Hub listing: NFR Frost, taking offers, adds welcome” → Someone has paid to list a Neon Fly Ride Frost Dragon in the Trading Hub and wants offers, plus extra items on top. Take your time, check the value lists, and never feel rushed by a “quick, accept now!” message.
“Any FR potions? Need for my legs, will add” → They want Fly or Ride potions for their legendary pets and will add more items to make it fair. Potions are pets’ best friend in trade chat, so expect lots of these.
Kiko’s take: The shorthand is honestly half the fun once it clicks. It’s like learning txt-speak in 2003 all over again (gr8 m8, c u l8r). Learn the potion letters first. Then the rest of Adopt Me! trade chat stops looking like a cat walked across the keyboard.
