How to Get the Copycat in Adopt Me and How Its Polymorph Works

The Copycat is a Legendary Halloween 2026 pet for 600 Robux. Its trick is a transform button in its needs menu: it turns into a random pet for 10 minutes. You can switch it back any time, then there’s a 2-minute cooldown before it can transform again. It’s a cosmetic disguise only, so it doesn’t change the pet you’d trade. It’s a limited Halloween pet. The Copycat dropped in week three (16 October 2026, US time): a white cat with a question mark on its face. It’s the only Halloween pet with an active ability, so here’s what it does, what it doesn’t, and whether 600 Robux is fair.

How the Copycat’s transform works
- Equip the Copycat and open its needs menu, the same place you’d see feeding and tasks.
- Press Transform. It takes on the look of a random pet for up to 10 minutes. The wiki has a screenshot of one as a Giant Anteater.
- Press it again to change back early.
- Wait out the 2-minute cooldown before rolling a new disguise.
What it doesn’t do
- It doesn’t give you that pet. Your inventory still says Copycat, and trades show a Copycat.
- You can’t choose the pet. It’s random, so it’s a party trick rather than a way to “try out” a dream pet.
- It’s temporary and free to repeat, so there’s no cost to rolling again after the cooldown.
Is the Copycat worth 600 Robux?
It’s only been out a few days, so values haven’t settled, and I won’t pretend otherwise. What I do know:
- Robux limiteds usually hold value better than Candy Corn pets, because fewer players buy them.
- Week one’s Jester Dragon (1,000 Robux) is the other Robux legendary to compare against.
- 600 Robux is a real chunk of pocket money, so it’s only “worth it” if you’ll enjoy the pet, or you’re investing on purpose and accept the risk.

It’s 400 Robux cheaper and has an actual ability. If you’re choosing one, the Copycat is the more fun pet to own.
Trading event pets safely in Adopt Me
Event pets are prime targets for scammers, especially in the first few weeks, when values are all over the place. A few rules keep you safe:
- Trade only through the in-game trade window, which needs the Trade License from the Safety Hub. Both players must accept the final screen.
- Check the final screen carefully. Look at Neon vs normal, FR/NFR/MFR, and that the pet is the one you agreed on.
- Never “trust trade” or go first with Robux or items in another game. Selling pets for real money or Robux is against the rules anyway.
- Use more than one value list. Early event values swing hard, so give them a week to settle before you make big trades.

Kiko’s take: The Copycat is a Tamagotchi with a costume box, and I love it. If you were going to spend Robux on Halloween anyway, it’s cheaper than the Jester Dragon and you get the transform. Don’t buy it just to flip, though. Values move, and Robux doesn’t come back.
Scam check
Watch for the “Copycat trick” in trade: someone shows a transformed Copycat that looks like a Shadow Dragon. The trade window shows what it really is, so always read the trade window, not the pet running around. And nobody can gift you a Copycat for “half price Robux” outside the game.
