Brookhaven Underground House Vault: How to Get In
TL;DR, bestie
- Spawn the Underground House. It’s a free house, listed as house 026 in community house lists, with a low grassy roof built into the ground.
- Go downstairs to the underground level and walk behind the television.
- Press the orange/yellow button on the wall back there. The vault door swings open.
- Inside is a roleplay vault: a perfect hideout, bank-heist set or “panic room”.
- No loot or rewards. It’s a secret room for stories, not a money glitch.

Most Brookhaven houses have a safe tucked somewhere. The Underground House goes further and hides an entire vault behind the living room TV. It’s one of those secrets that sounds made up until you press the button and the door actually opens. Here’s how to get in, plus what to do once you’re there.

Step by step: opening the vault
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| 1 | Open the Houses menu and spawn the Underground House (free) |
| 2 | Walk in and head down to the underground level |
| 3 | Find the television and squeeze behind it |
| 4 | Look for an orange/yellow button and click it |
| 5 | The vault door opens. Walk in! |
Can’t find the house? The community house list labels it House 026 and calls it the Underground House. It’s the low, flat house with grass growing over the roof, as if it’s been dug into a hill. If you’re in a public server and just swapped houses, you may need to wait out the cooldown first.
Can’t find the button? Get right up against the wall behind the TV and rotate your camera. The button is small, and it’s easy to miss if your camera is zoomed out.
What it’s for
There’s no money, item or badge in the vault. It’s a roleplay room, and it’s brilliant for that:
| Roleplay | How to use the vault |
|---|---|
| Panic room | The family hides from a “storm” or “burglars” |
| Secret agent HQ | Fits right in with Brookhaven’s Agency mystery |
| Bank heist (home edition) | Someone “robs” the house, and the vault is the prize |
| Treasure hoard | Fill it with props and play pirates or dragons |
| Hide-and-seek | The ultimate hiding spot, until someone learns the TV trick |
Vaults vs safes: don’t mix them up
The Underground House vault is a room. A safe is the money box most houses come with, and it works very differently.
| Underground House vault | House safes | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A hidden room behind the TV | A small box holding in-game money |
| Can it be robbed? | No. It’s just a room | Yes. Players can bomb it and grab the cash |
| Secret? | Yes, behind a button | Some houses hide theirs behind buttons or fake walls |
| What the owner sees | Nothing | A “just robbed you” notification |
Protect your safe: keep the doors locked with House Controls, ban troublemakers from your plot, or pick a house with a hidden safe.
Other vaults worth visiting
If the Underground House got you hooked on vaults, the Brookhaven Bank on Maple Drive is the main event:
- Second-floor vault: open it with the green keycard from the counter.
- Underground vaults: the white keycard takes you down to the Gold, Diamond and Bitcoin vaults, each with its own puzzle (lasers, a hidden key and vents).
- Robbing them sets off alarms and red lights. Perfect for police-versus-robber roleplay.

More hidden rooms inside houses
The Underground House isn’t the only home with a trick wall. Players have found another house with arcade machines downstairs that hides two secrets:
| Secret | How to open it |
|---|---|
| Ramp room | Downstairs near the arcade machines, find a small platform/button by a pillar next to the bookshelves. Click it and a ramp opens down to a hidden room |
| Wall room | Get a computer, sit in every chair, then press a white button high on a back pillar. A front wall slides open |
Fun detail: in that second room, the Happy Burger fries say “Burger Barn”, a nod to an old Brookhaven restaurant.
Troubleshooting
- Button hard to spot? Zoom your camera all the way in (first person) and look along the wall behind the TV.
- Busy server? Hunt in a quieter server, or a private one, so nobody wanders in while you’re searching.
- Wrong house? Despawn it, wait out any cooldown, then pick the grassy-roof house again.
Tips for using the vault in roleplay
- Lock the front door first, so randoms can’t wander in and spoil the reveal.
- Turn Props on in House Controls if you want to decorate the vault.
- Keep it kind. “Trapping” strangers in your vault isn’t fun for them. Only lock in people who agreed to the plot.
- Private servers let you save a fully decorated vault layout (see my private server guide).
Kiko’s take: There’s something so Y2K about a secret button behind a chunky TV. It’s like hiding your Holo Charizard inside a VHS case so your little brother couldn’t find it. My favorite use is a “storm shelter” family roleplay: lights low, everyone squished in the vault, someone narrating the weather report.
