House Disasters in Brookhaven: All 13 Disasters and the Disaster Pass
TL;DR, bestie
- House Disasters let you hit your own Brookhaven house with 13 effects: Alien, Bugs, Invasion, Fire, Flood, Gas Leak, Ghost, Lightning, Blackout, Earthquake, Solar Flare, Wind and Zombie.
- They come with the Disaster Pass, which costs 375 Robux on the official store (checked 6 November 2026). Some older guides still say 499.
- They work in every house type except motels.
- They’re pure roleplay chaos: visual and sound effects, not real damage to anything you own.

Some people decorate their Brookhaven house. Other people flood it, set it on fire and invite a ghost to move in. House Disasters are for the second group, and they’re one of the funniest tools in the game for storytelling. Here’s every disaster, what it actually does and how I use them in roleplay.

How it works
Once you own the Disaster Pass, a Disaster Controls panel appears for your house. Each button starts a different effect. They’re cosmetic: sounds, visuals and a lot of drama. Nothing you own gets deleted, and nobody’s account is harmed. It’s stage effects for your roleplay.

Here’s what each one does:
| Disaster | What happens |
|---|---|
| Alien | A UFO circles your house |
| Bugs | Small black bugs crawl across the house and your screen, with buzzing |
| Invasion | Gunshot and explosion sounds around the house |
| Fire | Flames appear inside, similar to the On Demand Fire pass |
| Flood | Water fills the inside of the house |
| Gas Leak | Heavy smoke fills the house |
| Ghost | A ghostly woman appears, teleporting around and vanishing |
| Lightning | Thunder, lightning and a brighter sky outside |
| Blackout | All the house lights turn off |
| Earthquake | Your screen shakes and zooms in and out for a short time |
| Solar Flare | Bright orange effects outside and smoke spreading inside |
| Wind | Wind sounds and leaves blowing past outside |
| Zombie | Zombies appear outside trying to get in, sometimes vanishing like the ghost |

Step by step: running a disaster scene
- Buy the Disaster Pass from the in-game Store. Make sure the price matches the official store.
- Spawn any house except a motel.
- Set up your story first: who’s home, what they’re doing.
- Open Disaster Controls and pick your effect.
- Let your friends react in character. That’s the whole point.
- Turn it off and reset for the next scene.
Tips
- Blackout plus Ghost is the best horror combo in the game. Do it at a sleepover RP and watch everyone scream in chat.
- Flood or Fire works great with a firefighter or rescue roleplay. Grab the job from the Jobs menu and make it a full rescue.
- Alien plus a Map Theme. Pair it with Futuristic or Military Invasion from Map Themes for a full sci-fi episode.
- Zombie is best with props. Barricade the door with furniture first. My Props page covers placing them.

Common mistakes
- Trying it in a motel. Motels don’t support disasters.
- Buying On Demand Fire too. The Disaster Pass already includes a fire effect, so the separate fire pass is mostly redundant.
- Spamming disasters in public servers. One well-timed scene is funny. Ten in a row is just noise, and people leave.
- Trusting old prices. Some wikis and videos still list 499 Robux. The official store showed 375 when I checked.
Kiko’s take: The Disaster Pass is a “for the plot” purchase. It’s not essential, but if you love storytelling RP, it’s some of the most fun you can get for 375 Robux. I’d still buy Premium and Music Unlocked first. Then, if your friend group keeps asking for horror nights, this is the one.
