Is MM2 Halloween 2026 Better Than Last Year? My Honest Scorecard
TL;DR, bestie
Is MM2 Halloween 2026 better than Halloween 2025? In my opinion, yes, narrowly. This year has two Ancients, a crafting Cauldron, Bingo, 13 free box keys and a cheaper box. Last year was longer, cheaper to finish and had the bigger launch moment. The catch: 2026 asks for about 116,800 Candies in 29 days, compared with 109,200 in about 34 days last year, so it’s harder on anyone who started late. The 2026 event ends Mon 16 Nov: 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT / 5am AEDT (Tue 17 Nov) / 7am NZDT (Tue 17 Nov).
Scam check
“Trade me your Emberbow progress”, “Candy duping” and “Chroma Emberscythe for cheap” offers are all scams. Candies and pass tiers can’t be traded, and a Chroma Ancient going for a bargain is bait. If a deal looks too good, check both value lists before you accept anything.
Deadline: MM2 Halloween 2026 ends Mon 16 Nov: 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT / 5am AEDT (Tue 17 Nov) / 7am NZDT (Tue 17 Nov). Everything below is about the 2026 event as it stands on 6 November, compared with how the 2025 event ran start to finish.
MM2’s Halloween events have gotten bigger every year, so it’s a fair question whether this one actually beats last year’s alien-themed event. I lined up the MM2 Wiki’s pages for both events, plus my own math from this year’s guides, and scored them category by category. The numbers are facts. The scores are my opinion.
The scorecard

Count: 2026 wins four, 2025 wins two, two ties. Here’s why I scored it that way.
Length: 2025 wins, and it matters more than it looks
Last year’s event ran from 18 October to 21 November 2025. This year’s runs from 18 October to 16 November, so it’s about five days shorter.
Why it matters: this year’s pass is also more expensive overall. Spread evenly, finishing the 2026 pass means about 4,000 Candies a day for 29 days. Finishing in 2025 took about 3,200 a day over about 34 days. That gap is the whole reason my Emberbow math post told late starters to aim for the Emberknife instead.

The pass: 2026 has the better prize, 2025 was easier to finish
2025: 25 tiers at 800 Candies each, then the Raygun, a Godly gun, for 90,000. Total: 109,200.
2026: 30 tiers at 600 each (per most sources), then the Emberbow, an Ancient gun, for 100,000. Total: 116,800. It also has a rare chance to roll Chroma.
My take: an Ancient at the end of a pass is a big upgrade on a Godly, and having 13 of the tiers be Halloween Keys means every key tier is basically a free box roll. That’s a better pass. But “better” and “friendlier” aren’t the same thing. If you started late, 2025 was the kinder event. My full 2026 pass breakdown has every tier.
The box: 2026 wins on price
| 2025 Halloween Box | 2026 Halloween Box | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | 800 Candies or an Alien Key | 600 Candies or a Halloween Key |
| Legendary | Energized, 5% | Embergun, 4% |
| Godly | Alienbeam, 0.2% | Embersickle, 0.2% |
| Chroma | Chroma Alienbeam, rate unknown | Chroma Embersickle, 0.004% |
My take: the same 0.2% Godly chance for 200 fewer Candies is a straight W for 2026. The legendary is a point rarer, but nobody was opening boxes for the legendary. At 0.2%, you’d open 500 boxes on average for one Embersickle, so please don’t treat the box as a plan. My box odds post does the full math.

Things to do: 2026 wins on depth, 2025 wins on spectacle
2025 had the moment. A live countdown ended in a cutscene that turned the game into the Halloween event, and players who were in-game got the Lil’ Alien pet. The wiki says MM2 hit a record 603,346 players on launch day, 18 October 2025. It also had leaderboard trophies for the top Candy collectors.
2026 has the depth. The Cauldron lets you combine the Emberbow and the Embersickle into the Emberscythe, a second Ancient, with a chance at Chroma. There’s a Bingo card for the first time since Easter 2023, plus three daily quests (about 500 bonus Candies a day) and event quests for 15, 30 and 45 dailies. And the retro lobby has a secret room that drops you into the old Murder Mystery lobby, which is honestly adorable.
My take: a launch-day cutscene is great for one day. Bingo and quests give you a reason to log in on day 20. I’ll take depth, but I won’t pretend 2025’s launch wasn’t the more exciting moment. My Bingo and quests guide shows what’s still worth finishing.
Robux: a tie, and not in a good way
Both years sold a Godly knife and gun for 1,699 Robux each, or a bundle for 3,399 Robux (the Xenotech Bundle in 2025, the Mortal Bundle this year). Same price, same pitch.
My take: I’d skip both unless you genuinely love the skins. My Mortal value post shows the knife trades for far less than its Robux price, and that’s the receipt I’d show anyone tempted to “invest”.
So which event was better?
My verdict: Halloween 2026, by a nose. The Ancients, the Cauldron, Bingo and the cheaper box make it the better-designed event, and it gives you more to do every day.
But I’d change one thing: length. Five more days, or a slightly cheaper Emberbow, would have made this one an easy win. As it is, 2026 rewards players who started on day one and is harder on everyone else.
Hot take: the best thing MM2 did this year wasn’t the Emberbow. It was the 13 Halloween Keys in the pass. Free box rolls you earn just by moving through tiers make the grind feel like it’s paying you back along the way.
What I’d do with about 10 days left
- Do your three daily quests every day. They refresh at 8am UTC, which is 12am PT / 3am ET / 8am GMT / 7pm AEDT / 9pm NZDT.
- Aim for the Emberknife (Tier 29) if you’re not already deep into the pass.
- Use your Halloween Keys on boxes instead of spending Candies on boxes.
- Skip the Robux bundle unless you’d buy the skins anyway.
Kiko’s take: Halloween 2026 beats 2025 for me, but only just. It’s the better-designed event, with two Ancients, crafting, Bingo and cheaper boxes. It’s also the tougher grind, with a pricier pass and five fewer days. If you started early, this is MM2’s best Halloween yet. If you started late, aim for the Emberknife, use your keys and don’t let anyone convince you that you “need” the Emberbow.
FAQ
