Icepiercer in MM2: The Ice Crossbow and the Full Ice Set
TL;DR, bestie
- The Icepiercer is an Ancient gun from Murder Mystery 2’s Christmas Event 2022. It was the second Ancient gun, after the Harvester.
- It was the tier 20 Battle Pass reward and cost 75,000 Snow Tokens for that final tier.
- The event ran from 21 December 2022 to 22 January 2023. Now you can only get one through trading.
- With the Icebreaker and Iceblaster, it makes up the Full Ice Set.

The Icepiercer is basically the Harvester’s winter cousin. It’s another crossbow, but carved out of ice and spikes, with a light blue trail instead of a green one. It came out a year after the first Ancient gun and made it clear that Ancient guns were going to be a regular thing.

How to get the Icepiercer
The Christmas 2022 Battle Pass had 20 tiers. Each of the first 19 cost 700 Snow Tokens, and the Icepiercer waited at tier 20 for a much bigger 75,000. Snow Tokens came from playing rounds during the event, and you could also buy them, which is how many players finished the track before it closed.
When the event ended in January 2023, the Icepiercer became a trade-only item. If you’re planning to trade for one, read my MM2 trading guide first. Ancient trades are big enough that a small mistake can hurt.
What it looks like
It’s an ice crossbow with sharp frozen spikes sticking out of the frame and a pale blue bolt. When you fire it, it leaves a light blue trail and plays its own shot sound instead of the standard one. In first person it looks great, since the spikes frame your view without blocking it.
Set and history
The Icepiercer’s set is the easiest to explain in MM2:
| Piece | Type | Rarity |
|---|---|---|
| Icebreaker | Knife | Ancient |
| Iceblaster | Gun | Godly |
| Icepiercer | Gun | Ancient |
Together, those three make the Full Ice Set. Some players also pair the Icepiercer with the Evo knife Icecrusher, but that one isn’t part of the classic set.
A few history notes:
- For about two days after release, a bug made the Icepiercer show up as a Godly instead of an Ancient. It was fixed on 23 December 2022.
- Players who finished in the event’s top 100 got red, bronze, silver or gold Icepiercers. These are Unique trophies, not normal Icepiercers.
- It was designed by IDontHaveAUse, the same creator behind the Harvester.
Demand and rarity
The Icepiercer has solid demand as a retired Ancient gun, and ice-set collectors keep it in steady circulation. It doesn’t get the same hype as the newer Gingerscope, but it holds its own, especially with players finishing the set. Trophy versions are a different story and are much scarcer.
No numbers here, on purpose. MM2 values shift and lists don’t line up. My ancient values post covers the bigger picture for the tier. kikomii value tools are on the way.
Kiko’s take: I like the Icepiercer more than its demand would suggest. It’s the best-looking crossbow in the game, and the Full Ice Set is one of the few sets that actually looks like a matching set. If you already own an Icebreaker, finishing the set is a very satisfying goal.
