Adopt Me Potions Explained: Fly, Ride, Age-Up and Polymorph
TL;DR, bestie
- Ride-A-Pet (130 Robux) and Fly-A-Pet (255 Robux) are permanent and add value. FR pets trade for more.
- Age potions: Tiny Age (+3 tasks), Age-Up (+30), Sugar Skull (+45), Super Age-Up (+183).
- Age-up reward potions come from aging pets:
- Polymorph turns your pet into another pet for 10 minutes;
- Bonus Aging and Bonus Bucks give 1.2× for 15 minutes;
- and more.
- Bucks potions in the Sky Castle are just for fun (big head, speed, jump, size).

Potions are Adopt Me!’s version of power-ups. Some are permanent and valuable (hello, Fly Ride), some are just silly (Big Head, I love you), and a few quietly speed up aging. Here’s what each one does and which are worth your Robux or Bucks.

The two that matter for trading: Fly and Ride
| Potion | Cost | Effect | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ride-A-Pet | 130 Robux | Pet becomes rideable | Forever |
| Fly-A-Pet | 255 Robux | Pet can fly | Forever |
Both are sold in the Sky Castle, or you can trade for them. Fly and Ride status shows in trade as F, R or FR, and it changes a pet’s value. An NFR or MFR is worth noticeably more than a no-potion version.
Should you potion a pet? Only if you love it or it’s high demand. Potions can’t be removed or moved to another pet.
Age potions
These skip a set number of tasks’ worth of aging.
| Potion | Ages pet by | Rarity |
|---|---|---|
| Tiny Age Potion | 3 tasks | Common |
| Age-Up Potion | 30 tasks | Rare |
| Sugar Skull Potion | 45 tasks | Ultra-Rare |
| Super Age-Up Potion | 183 tasks (a Legendary’s full newborn-to-grown) | Legendary |
Where they come from:
- Age-Up Potions come from Full Grown pets’ Friendship Levels: one per level, every 30 tasks’ worth of XP.
- Tiny Age Potions turn up as rewards, including in the Guide.
- Sugar Skull and Super Age-Up have been limited releases, so check the shop or trade for them.
For context, a Legendary needs 183 tasks to reach Full Grown, a Rare 54 and a Common 25. One Age-Up Potion takes a Common more than halfway.

Age-up reward potions
Since 2026, pets can drop these when they age up:
| Potion | Effect | Rarity |
|---|---|---|
| Goofy | Changes your pet’s expression for 10 min | Common |
| Home | Teleports you to your house | Common |
| Secret Talent | Your pet knows every trick it can learn, for 10 min | Common |
| Future Sight | Shows your pet’s next needs | Uncommon |
| Bonus Aging | 1.2× XP for 15 min | Uncommon |
| Busy Body | Gives your pet a random blue need | Uncommon |
| Bonus Bucks | 1.2× Bucks for 15 min | Rare |
| Choosy | Gives your pet the “Choose” need | Rare |
| Polymorph | Turns your pet into another pet for 10 min | Ultra-Rare |
| Preferred | Gives a need with a preferred item (for the 3× bonus) | Ultra-Rare |
Best combo: drink Bonus Aging and Bonus Bucks together, then use Preferred and Busy Body to queue up quick tasks during those 15 minutes.
Sky Castle fun potions (Bucks)

| Hyperspeed | 40 Bucks | Walk faster (stacks) |
| Anti-gravity | 99 Bucks | Jump higher (stacks) |
| Grow | 395 Bucks | Your character grows |
| Small Sip | 250 Bucks | Pet shrinks for 10 min |
| Big Brew | 350 Bucks | Pet grows for 10 min |
| Translucent Tea | 600 Bucks | Pet goes see-through for 10 min |

Which potion should I use when?
| Goal | Use |
|---|---|
| Making a Neon faster | Age-Up Potions on your four copies, prioritizing the last few tasks |
| Grinding Bucks for 15 minutes | Bonus Bucks plus Preferred (for a 3× request) |
| Aging a legendary | Save Sugar Skull and Super Age-Up for high-rarity pets, where they skip the most grinding |
| Showing off in roleplay | Polymorph, Goofy, Big Brew or Translucent Tea |
| Getting home fast | Home Potion |
Don’t waste Age-Up Potions on Commons if you have higher-rarity pets waiting. A Common only needs 25 tasks in total, but a Legendary needs 183.
Other potions you might see
- Cure All: cures needs instantly. It’s come from events, gifts and the Task Board.
- Instant Hatch: hatches an egg straight away (linked to the 35 Robux hatch purchase).
- Old event potions like Snowflake, Teleportation and Heart are mostly collector items now.
Scam check
Scam check: a common trick is the “Ride/Fly Pet” swap, where someone shows an FR pet and then swaps in a no-potion one. Check the F and R badges on the final trade screen. And nobody can “give you free Fly potions” for your password.
Kiko’s take: If you only ever buy one thing with Robux in Adopt Me!, make it Fly + Ride on a pet you adore. It’s permanent, it looks amazing, and it holds value. Everything else is a treat. That said, my Big Head Potion has never once failed to make me laugh. Ten Bucks well spent.
